AA does greatly improve the quality of the genealogical reports I can prepare from my GEDCOM files. I\'m still learning but like what I see so far. I thought it might allow me to build reports where in I use nested PDF\'s with hyperlinks connecting them all. But it appears this is not possible with this software. Given that it didn\'t meet those expectation, which expectations were probably unrealistic, I am still impressed with its functionality. thanksMLS

Ancestral Author Review Ancestral Author created a beautiful PDF file but it's not what I needed. I was looking for a way to publish the info to my web site so that it hyperlinks to other pages on my web site. Would definitely recommend it for someone who needs a family tree pdf.

The Joys of ViewGED While this software could be more user friendly it is only for comfort's sake that it is required and not necessity. In trying ViewGED I two separate trees, and, in the second tree, reported on three different individuals. All of the reports were very satisfying, with the added benefit of illustrating errors that I had made when entering the original data. I was looking for a product which would create professional charts first time - without the need for me to re-organise what it had produced. I was looking for symmetrical presentations which made good use of the available paper space, and provided a host of options.Regretfully, your product didn't meet my required standards. But I've looked at every product that I can find, and none meets my criteria.

Not for me at the moment, I'm afraid.It was the type of thing I was after, but...1. It didn't get close enough first time, and 2. It wasn't user-friendly enough to get the chart how I wanted it.It didn't improve sufficiently over what's in Family Tree Maker to encourage me to show any more interest. Sorry.

Good potential, if only it worked The program does a good job of laying out a tree. What lets it down is that it is not easy to use, and I just could not get it to print. I had to print screen and paste into a grphics program to do this.JG

Your restrictions on your trial version are so severe as to be laughable. 20 people as a trial? Get real. I uninstalled the software within 10 minutes of installation.

Its a great software, esp when its free. Easy to work with. Hope u would add more labels/column so I could enter notes/occupation/place of birth/death, etc. in the person\'s information. I found it cumbersome to use and difficult to figure out how to make family connections once I was able to get names into the right places. Additionally, in order to see how it was going to look for the entire family I would have had to pay for a full years subscription. This is a sweet little piece of software. Using the free version it is simple to construct a family tree with significant data about each family member entered. With an upgrade to the premium version new features are unlocked that work to automatically correlate entered data with other family trees that might already exist in the data base. Quick and easy to use too!

I think this is an interesting genealogy program. For some reason, it kept making my screen jump. Also, I was very surprised to see the monthly charge for using it. Unpleasantly surprised. So, I removed it from my computer.

I can\'t use family tree builder right now because you don\'t have one for a mac. I thought I saw one for sale on Amazon-I need to check into that. I like tree builder.

I downloaded the free version and am enjoying the education I am getting by filling it out. It has been quite easy to find my way around. Thank you for providing this freeware!

excellent. straightforward to use, not too many attempts to get you to buy into something else. Download needed updating but otherwise really good. i am very pleased that this free software is available.
